I'm a good swimmer but things will probably depend on who is going and what's happening.

Could swim round Giant Haystack Rock.

Shaz, it won't be that cold. Don't get me wrong, it's cold year-round, it's certainly not one of those go-play-in-the-water beaches, but I can't imagine it will be colder than 60 F. It's doable :)

Brannon went in for a swim in November! But it's still going to be a bit nipply

In the summer, the water will be a bit hooter, erm, I mean HOTTER.

bahahaha

Actually yea - it was a bit nipply. I still think Brannon and Fathead are crazy people.

Oh, My. Speaking of crazy... Mikey, I have been meaning to tell you this for over a month now, and I keep forgetting...

Our local news ran a piece about our friend, the feces flinging monkey in St. Petersburg. Apparently they still haven't caught him. Ot at least, they hadn't when the news story was on last month.

Anyway, as with everything feces-flinging related, it reminded me of you. ;)
That would be most good.

OMG, HOW WEIRD! I was just thinking of him the other day because I was telling someone about Canadians only want three things when they're in Florida... gators, manatees and Chick-Fil-A sammiches. WTF? How could he still be at large? I mean, he leaves a trail of flung feces in his wake!

I don't know if I ever told you this or not, but when we got to the airport in Orlando, we saw a sign for Chick-Fil-A in the food court...

I got that big excited Peter Griffin-esque look on my face and ran over... only to find out that it was Sunday....

Booooooo.

But to be fair, *I* was not the one wanting the gators. And I still haven't forgiven you both for not telling me about the snakes.

Shaz: That's the spirit! Go get wet in the ocean, that's what it's there for. Then you can tell the rest of us what it's like, cuz there ain't no way I'm turfing my fat arse in there.
That would be most good.

Yes, I remember it well. But be fair, Hooli... what's more important? A chicken biscuit or your immortal soul! Don't ask me, I'll go for the biscuit every time.

But hey, at least you can distinguish between my mom and my dad now :)

Yea... we've been trying to get chicken biscuits every time we've been in the US basically since we saw you. It has yet to happen, because we are always in hotels, and are never up early enough to make it over to the Chick-Fil-A.

I spent a good 12 days in the US over Christmas and had nary a chicken biscuit.

Also: I had entirely forgotten about that. Thanks a lot, you just made me cackle so hard I couldn't catch my breath, and my co-worker was staring at me like a crazy person. Ahhh that was funny. I can't wait to see you.
That would be most good.

A question as innocent as "who's going swimming?" has descended into nipples, peeing in the ocean and poo flinging? It's moments like these when I stop and thank the maker for the internet.

The water should be the same temperature as your normal UK coastal waters. i.e Blackpool, Yarmouth, Devon etc

Probably a lot cleaner too i.e no raw sewage or floaters.

Cold water = a pressing need to pee what>:^(

Sounds like you have a serious bladder problem or infection. You really should get the Doc or Urology to check this out for you. sick:^(

Why pay for an aquatic center, when the ocean will be just steps away from my front door. :)
