Goonies Novel Transcript Question. . . .

Postby GoonFromKnox » Tue Nov 27, 2007 12:32 pm

Hey
Does anyone know if the actual Transcripts for the Goonies Book/novel is available online anywhere? I was going to create a "special edition" book of sorts for my own personal collection. I was going to have it rebinded with a Leather Cover possible with an "engraving" of the Copper Bones on the cover or the spine, of course with the title too. I just was trying to avoid having to re-type the entire book.

Anyone help me?

I've never heard of a transcript of the book being online. I have a copy of the book but I've never transcribed it. If you can't find it online you could probably ask one of us that has the book to transcribe it for you...but it's kind of time consuming, so I don't know how quickly it would get done. LOL!

Hey Seth,

Fred (Angelseyth) will have it up on his site soon I am sure. He's still finishing it up.

That is an awesome idea!!! I'm building some bookshelves in my room and I was planning on reproducing a lot of old books from movies for it, such as the Book of the Dead from Evil Dead, the book from the Ninth Gate, etc..
The Goonies rebound in leather would be so cool to have as well!!! thumbup
Good luck in finding the transcript. Let us know when you find it. Wouldn't there be someplace online that you can buy it transcribed?

Hey Brenton -
I don't know about where i could buy it. I would like to. I always thought it would be cool. Maybe insert some different scenes from the movie through the book, where they respectively go of course.

I thought it would be cool to make it like a really old book from the 18th or early 19th century, with scenes from the movie transformed into woodcut stamp pictures. Kind of like an old Treasure Island book of some sort.
