Siesta Key Florida Meetup 2007

Hey all you Florida Goonies! Please send me your input on a fall 07 weekend meetup in Florida. Here is my proposed plan. I have a friend that will rent us his beach house with pool at Siesta Key, near Sarasota, FL. We could fit around 10 people. It has beds and hideaways for 8 and I have a very nice king air mattress for 2 more. We could get the whole thing for the weekend for $100 if we leave it clean (that's only $10-15 each depending on the number of people who want to do it. I could also arrange for a projector, screen and sound system to watch Goonies by the pool. Siesta key has nice white sand beaches and beautiful sunsets. I also plan to make everyone shirts for the event for $5 each. So for around $20 you get a fun Goonies weekend, a chance to meet others and party it up. I was thinking mid to late September. Well if everyone is going besides Merk it'll be 30 bucks a person but if Merk is going it should jump to around 147 a person. Merks a drinker by trade.

Update:

There is an opening for the beach house as early as Aug. 11-12. Would anyone be up for those dates? I know it is somewhat short notice, but if you are interested I please let me know.

Oh, didn't read the "all you Florida Goonies" part, if this is Florida Goonies only let me know, I would still consider flying down if its open to all and if cheap enough glights are available! gooniesicon

The Florida meetup is open to anyone, but we are pushing it back to later this fall/winter when the weather is a bit cooler. I will keep you posted. Thanks for your interest in the event.

dude, if its set for later fall or winter I will definately make the trip to hang with you Goonies, it would be nice to escape the 3 feet of snow and harsh cold that is upstate NY! gooniesicon
